Checks that matter when travelling on a Brazilian passport
- Brazilian passport holders are included in the current ETA national list. A visa or residence permission issued by another country does not replace the need to check the UK route for the Brazilian passport.
- Travellers who already hold valid UK immigration permission do not need an ETA for that permission. Anyone unsure which document applies should use the official GOV.UK visa checker.
- An ETA is for eligible visits, not settlement or unrestricted work. Check the visa route before booking a long course, employment or any stay outside visitor conditions.

Prepare a facial photograph that follows GOV.UK rules
Use a clear colour facial photo that is in focus, well lit, taken against a plain light background and not altered with filters or editing.

GOV.UK says a decision is usually sent within a day, but travellers should allow up to 3 working days and some cases can take longer. No service can promise a faster government decision.
